  Doris Gay Day
Doris is Evelyn's attempt to pretend to be a woman. Evelyn Hartogh started Art Love Jam in 1998 after organising many events with Dallas Angguish (Dorje Norbu). The event began after Evelyn had to leave a State High School in the outer suburbs of Brisbane after homophobic harrasment. Evelyn lost her court case and is currently paying back three thousand dollars to the Department of Education. Art Love Jam is a non-profit event which seeks to redress homophobia in Queensland by reminding people that love is the one thing every human being has in common. Evelyn organises Art Love Jam, each year for the Brisbane GLBT Pride Featival, with James Lees who designs the posters from raw images Evelyn finds and sets up press interveiws. Also, Evelyn writes a column for Queensland Pride Magazine called POP CULT SHEROES. She is currently finishing a Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Qld. Once it is submitted she will be a MAMA because in 1997 she graduated from Griffith University with a Masters in Women's Studies. Her dream is to start her PHd in 2002 and get a scholarship because hunger makes it hard to think.
